DESCRIPTION
· The MC33186 is a monolithic H-Bridge driver designed for fractional horsepower DC-motor and bi-directional thrust solenoid control.
· It integrates internal control logic, charge pump, gate drive, and low RDS(ON) MOSFET output circuitry.
· Capable of controlling continuous inductive DC load currents up to 5.0 A.
· Supports PWM frequencies up to 10 kHz.
· Operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and a voltage range of 5.0 V to 28 V, with derating up to 40 V.
· Available in a surface mount power package with an exposed pad for heat sinking.
FEATURES
· Overtemperature, short-circuit, and overvoltage protection up to 40 V.
· RDSON = 150 mΩ for each output transistor at 25°C.
· Continuous DC load current of 5.0 A (TC < 100°C).
· Output current limitation at 6.5 A ±20%.
· Short-circuit shutdown for output currents over 8.0 A.
· Logic inputs compatible with TTL/CMOS.
· Operating frequency up to 20 kHz.
· Undervoltage disable function.
· Diagnostic output and 2 disable inputs.
· Coding input for alternative functions.
· Stable operation with an external capacitance of 47 µF minimum at VBAT.
