DESCRIPTION

· The MC74HC4538A is a dual precision monostable multivibrator, retriggerable and resettable, with a pinout identical to the MC14538B.

· It features inputs compatible with standard CMOS outputs and, with pullup resistors, with LSTTL outputs.

· The device can be triggered by either the positive or negative edge of an input pulse, producing a precision output pulse across a wide range of widths.

· The output pulse width is determined by external timing components, R x and C x, and includes a reset function to force the Q output low and the Q output high.

FEATURES

· Allows unlimited rise and fall times on trigger inputs.

· Output pulse width is independent of the trigger pulse width.

· Guarantees ±10% pulse width variation from part to part using the same test jig.

· Capable of driving 10 LSTTL loads and directly interfaces with CMOS, NMOS, and TTL.

· Operates within a voltage range of 3.0 to 6.0 V with low input current.

· Offers high noise immunity characteristic of CMOS devices and complies with JEDEC Standard No. 7A.

· Contains 145 FETs or 36 equivalent gates, available in Pb-Free packages.
