DESCRIPTION

· The MCP9805 is a digital temperature sensor by Microchip Technology Inc., converting temperatures from -40°C to +125°C into a digital word.
· Designed to meet JEDEC Standard JC42.4 for Mobile Platform Memory Module Thermal Sensor.
· Features user-programmable registers for DIMM temperature-sensing applications, including Shutdown or Low-Power modes and temperature event boundaries.
· Provides Event signal output for temperature changes beyond set limits, with configurable polarity.
· Utilizes a 2-wire SMBus and Standard mode I2C compatible serial interface, supporting up to eight sensors on a single bus.
