DESCRIPTION



· The MIC20XX family comprises current-limiting, high-side power switches designed for power distribution and control in devices like digital televisions, printers, set-top boxes, PCs, and PDAs.

· These switches offer thermal protection and shutdown capabilities to safeguard the device and load under high-current or fault conditions.

· Features include fault reporting, output slew rate limiting, undervoltage detection, and an enable pin with active low or high options.

· The MIC201X and MIC2019A models feature Kickstart™, allowing high-current surges up to the secondary current limit without compromising system safety.

· Available in compact packages such as 5-pin SOT-23, 6-pin SOT-23, and 2mm x 2mm MLF®.



FEATURES



· MIC20X3 – MIC20X9 models have a typical on-resistance of 70mΩ at 5V.

· MIC2005A/20X9A models feature a typical on-resistance of 170mΩ at 5V.

· Operates within a 2.5V to 5.5V range.

· Offers preset current limits of 0.5A, 0.8A, and 1.2A, with adjustable limits from 0.2A to 2.0A for MIC20X7-MIC20X9 and 0.1A to 0.9A for MIC20X9A.

· Includes undervoltage lock-out, automatic load discharge, soft-start, and thermal protection.



APPLICATIONS



· Suitable for digital televisions, set-top boxes, PDAs, and printers.

· Ideal for USB/IEEE 1394 power distribution in desktop and laptop PCs.

· Used in game consoles and docking stations.
