DESCRIPTION

· The MPXY8000 series is an 8-pin tire pressure monitoring sensor with integrated temperature compensation and calibration.

· It includes a capacitive pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, and an interface circuit on a single chip.

· The sensor is housed in a Super-Small Outline Package (SSOP) with a media protection filter.

· Designed for low power consumption, it can be integrated with Freescale's remote keyless entry (RKE) system.

FEATURES

· Capacitive pressure sensor and diffused resistor temperature sensor integrated on a CMOS die.

· Factory-calibrated offset and gain with values stored in EEPROM.

· Temperature compensation for sensitivity and offset.

· 8-bit threshold adjustment via serial input for pressure monitoring.

· Digital output for temperature with variable threshold adjustment.

· Internal 5.4 kHz oscillator with a 14-stage divider for periodic wake-up pulses.
