DESCRIPTION

· The OPT3006 is a single-chip luxmeter that measures visible light intensity as perceived by the human eye.
· It features a precision spectral response that closely matches the photopic response of the human eye.
· The device is housed in an ultra-small PicoStar package, suitable for compact spaces.
· It provides accurate light intensity measurements with strong infrared (IR) rejection, ensuring high accuracy even under dark glass.
· The sensor supports a wide measurement range from 0.01 lux to 83k lux with a 23-bit effective dynamic range.
· Digital output is facilitated via an I2C and SMBus-compatible two-wire serial interface.
· It is designed for low power consumption, enhancing battery life in portable devices.



FEATURES

· Precision optical filtering matches the human eye and rejects over 99% of IR.
· Automatic full-scale setting simplifies software configuration.
· Operates with a low current of 1.8µA and supports a wide power-supply range from 1.6V to 3.6V.
· Features a flexible interrupt system and is available in a small form factor (0.856 mm x 0.946 mm x 0.226 mm).
· 5.5-V tolerant I/O and operates in a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
