DESCRIPTION

· The PCA8802 is a CMOS integrated circuit designed for battery operation, typically using button cells or flexible polymer batteries.
· It includes a 32.768 kHz quartz crystal oscillator circuit with integrated load capacitors, optimized for a quartz with 6 pF load capacitance.
· The oscillator generates a 1/32Hz clock signal to increment a 24-bit binary counter, which can be read or set via a serial interface.
· The counter is frozen during access to prevent incrementing during read operations, and an interrupt signal is available for microcontroller wake-up.
