DESCRIPTION

· The PCA9521 is a monolithic bipolar IC designed for bus buffering in I2C-bus, SMBus, PMBus, and similar systems.
· It extends bus load limits by buffering SCL and SDA lines, supporting up to 400 pF at 400 kHz.
· Features enable function for bus isolation and controlled start-up with diverse components.
· Supports bus level translation from 1.8 V to 10 V, ensuring compatibility across different technologies.
· Offers fast response times, maintaining glitches within the 50 ns I2C-bus specification without rise-time accelerators.



FEATURES

· Dual, bidirectional unity gain buffer with fast switching times over 1 MHz.
· Compatible with I2C-bus, SMBus, PMBus, and IPMB.
· Enable function for disconnecting bus segments and low standby current.
· 6 mA static pull-down capability and low noise susceptibility.
· Operates from 2.7 V to 5.5 V with bus voltages from 1.8 V to 10 V.
