DESCRIPTION
· The PCF8564A is a CMOS real-time clock and calendar designed for low power consumption.
· It includes a programmable clock output, interrupt output, and voltage low detector.
· Data transfer is managed serially via a two-line bidirectional I2C-bus with a maximum speed of 400 kbit/s.
· Features an automatic increment of the built-in word address register after each data byte read or write.
FEATURES
· Tracks year, month, day, weekday, hours, minutes, and seconds using a 32.768 kHz quartz crystal.
· Operates across a wide voltage range from 1.0 V to 5.5 V.
· Low back-up current of typically 250 nA at 3.0 V and 25°C.
· Includes a 400 kHz two-wire I2C interface compatible with 1.8 V to 5.5 V.
· Equipped with a low-voltage detector, alarm, and timer functions.
· Features two integrated oscillator capacitors and a programmable clock output.
· Internal Power-On Reset (POR) and I2C slave address: read A3h, write A2h.
