DESCRIPTION

· The PCM2906B is a single-chip USB stereo audio codec by Texas Instruments, featuring a USB-compliant full-speed protocol controller and S/PDIF.

· It utilizes SpAct™ architecture for audio clock recovery from USB packet data, enabling low jitter playback and record with independent sampling rates.

· The device includes on-chip analog PLLs and allows partial modification of USB descriptors such as vendor ID and product ID.



FEATURES

· Stereo DAC and ADC with 16-bit Delta-Sigma architecture, including analog LPF and digital HPF.

· On-chip USB interface compliant with USB 2.0, featuring full-speed transceivers and adaptive/asynchronous modes for playback and record.

· Supports multiple sampling rates: DAC at 32, 44.1, 48 kHz and ADC at 8, 11.025, 16, 22.05, 32, 44.1, 48 kHz.

· Integrated S/PDIF input/output and a 28-pin SSOP package.

· Single power supply operation at 5V typical.
