DESCRIPTION
· PTN38003A is a high-performance USB3.2/DisplayPort multi-protocol linear redriver optimized for USB3.2 and DisplayPort applications on both downstream facing port (DFP) and upstream facing port (UFP).
· It enhances high-speed signal quality for USB Type-C and VESA DisplayPort Alternate Mode standards.
· The device includes snooping monitor for DP mode sideband signals (AUX) to optimize configuration, power saving, and performance.
· It features programmable linear equalization and output swing linearity control via pin strapping or I2C to improve signal integrity and extend channel reach.
· PTN38003A supports advanced power management for USB3.2 low power modes (U2/U3) and detects LFPS/LBPM signaling for dynamic configuration.
· It maintains separate input signal detectors for loss of high-speed signal (LOS) and USB LFPS with built-in hysteresis.
· The device is powered by a 1.8 V supply and comes in a compact HWFLGA36 package.
