DESCRIPTION

· The RT2378-20 is a radiation-tolerant, 20-bit, 1Msps, low-power SAR ADC in a plastic package.

· It operates from a 2.5V supply with a fully differential input range of ±VREF, where VREF ranges from 2.5V to 5.1V.

· The device features a high-speed SPI-compatible serial interface supporting 1.8V to 5V logic and includes a daisy-chain mode.

· It consumes only 21mW, achieves ±2ppm INL maximum, and guarantees no missing codes at 20 bits with 104dB SNR.

· The internal oscillator sets the conversion time, and the device automatically powers down between conversions to reduce power dissipation.

· A unique Digital Gain Compression (DGC) function eliminates the need for a driver amplifier’s negative supply while preserving full ADC resolution.
