DESCRIPTION

· The RT9428 is a host-side fuel gauge IC for single-cell lithium-ion batteries, designed for compact and cost-effective integration into battery-powered systems.
· It utilizes a voltage-based algorithm for state-of-charge (SOC) calculation, eliminating the need for current-sense resistors and avoiding SOC drift over time.
· The IC supports quick sensing for initial SOC estimation and communicates measurement data via an I2C interface.
· It is housed in a WL-CSP-8B 1.6x1.52 package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications.
