DESCRIPTION

· The SAA7128H and SAA7129H are digital video encoders that convert digital C R-Y-CB video data into NTSC, PAL, or SECAM CVBS or S-video signals.

· They feature a 54 MHz multiplexed digital D1 input port compatible with ITU-R BT.656, accepting two C R-Y-CB data streams with 720 active pixels per line in 4:2:2 multiplexed formats.

· The devices include a sync/clock generator and on-chip DACs, supporting RGB or interpolated C R-Y-CB signals via additional DACs.

FEATURES

· Monolithic CMOS 3.3 V device with optional 5 V I2C-bus.

· Digital PAL/NTSC/SECAM encoder with a system pixel frequency of 13.5 MHz.

· 54 MHz double-speed multiplexed D1 interface for splitting data into two channels.

· Three 10-bit resolution DACs for CVBS, VBS, and C signals, and three 9-bit resolution DACs for RED, GREEN, and BLUE signals.

· Advanced composite sync for RGB display centering and real-time subcarrier control.

· Supports closed captioning, WST, NABTS teletext encoding, and CGMS encoding.

· Fast I2C-bus control port (400 kHz) and line 23 Wide Screen Signalling (WSS) encoding.

· Video Programming System (VPS) data encoding in line 16 and internal Color Bar Generator (CBG).
