DESCRIPTION

· The Si858x products integrate robust, fully compliant RS-485 transceivers with signal isolation, ideal for industrial automation applications requiring isolated interfaces for FieldBus systems.

· These devices are suitable for isolating nodes on RS-485 standard-based FieldBuses like ProfiBus or ModBus, protecting against electrical noise transients in harsh or sensitive environments.

· They operate with a 3.3 V or 5.0 V nominal power supply, offer robust bus fault tolerance up to ±30 V, and protect bus pins up to 15 kV HBM ESD.

· Available in half duplex and full duplex modes, these products feature slew rate controlled drivers with 1 Mbps data rate capability or high data rate up to 10 Mbps without slew rate control.

· They utilize Skyworks' proprietary silicon isolation technology, supporting up to 5 kV RMS isolation voltage per UL1577, with high CMTI (>100 kV/µs), low propagation delays, and tight part-to-part matching.
