DESCRIPTION

· The Si5351 is an I2C configurable clock generator designed to replace crystals, crystal oscillators, VCXOs, PLLs, and fanout buffers in cost-sensitive applications.

· It uses a PLL/VCXO + high-resolution MultiSynth fractional divider architecture to generate any frequency up to 200 MHz with 0 ppm error.

· Three versions are available: Si5351A (8 free-running clocks), Si5351B (internal VCXO), and Si5351C (synchronizes to an external reference clock).

FEATURES

· Generates up to eight non-integer-related frequencies from 2.5 kHz to 200 MHz.

· I2C user-definable configuration with exact frequency synthesis (0 ppm error).

· Highly linear VCXO, optional clock input (CLKIN), and low output period jitter (< 70 ps pp).

· Configurable spread spectrum, glitchless frequency changes, and programmable rise/fall time control.

· Operates with a low-cost 25 or 27 MHz crystal and supports static phase offset.

· Separate voltage supply pins for core (2.5 or 3.3 V) and output (1.8, 2.5, or 3.3 V).

· Available in 10-MSOP (3 outputs), 16-QFN (4 outputs), and 20-QFN (8 outputs) packages.
