DESCRIPTION

· The Si8900/1/2 series are isolated monitoring ADCs designed for linear signal galvanic isolation, level shifting, and ground loop elimination.

· They integrate a 10-bit SAR ADC, supervisory state machine, and isolated UART (Si8900), I2C/SMbus (Si8901), or SPI (Si8902) in a single package.

· Utilizing proprietary CMOS isolation technology, they offer 2.5 or 5 kV isolation ratings and are UL, CSA, and VDE safety certified.

· These devices are available in 16-pin SOIC wide-body packages and provide robust performance with a typical common-mode transient immunity of 45 kV/µs.
