DESCRIPTION

· The Si9961A is a linear actuator driver designed for disk drive head positioning systems.
· It integrates power and control circuitry to drive voice coil motors in 3.5-inch hard disk and optical disk drives.
· Capable of delivering 1.8 A at a 12 V nominal supply.
· Features motor current sense amplifier, loop compensation amplifier, and H-bridge power amplifier.
· Built on a self-isolated BiC/DMOS power IC process, available in 24-pin SO packages.

· 1.8 A H-Bridge output with Class B linear operation.
· Externally programmable gain and bandwidth.
· Undervoltage head retract and programmable retract current.
· Low standby current and rail-to-rail output swing.
