DESCRIPTION

· The SNx4HC594 devices are 8-bit shift registers with output registers, featuring a serial-in, parallel-out shift register that feeds an 8-bit D-type storage register.

· Separate clocks and direct overriding clear inputs (RCLR, SRCLR) are provided for both the shift and storage registers.

· A serial output (QH’) is available for cascading purposes.

· Both the shift register (SRCLK) and storage register (RCLK) clocks are positive edge triggered.

· Wide operating voltage range from 2V to 6V.

· High-current outputs capable of driving up to 15 LSTTL loads.

· Low power consumption with a maximum ICC of 80 µA.

· Typical propagation delay (tpd) of 15 ns.

· Output drive of ±6 mA at 5V.
