DESCRIPTION

· The STV0976 is a low-power digital image processor designed for the VS6650 1.0 Megapixel SMIA camera module (up to 15 fps) and the VS6590 SVGA camera module (up to 30 fps).

· It performs essential operations for high-quality megapixel image capture, including JPEG compression and viewfinder generation.

· Features SMIA Class 0 video input and output, enabling advanced mobile imaging capabilities.

· Supports VS6650 (1152H x 864V) and VS6590 (800H x 600V) camera modules.

· SMIA1 Class 0 sensor interface (208 Mbit/s).

· Up to 30 fps at SVGA or 15 fps at 1.0 Megapixel.

· Advanced image processing: defect correction, noise filtering, lens shading correction, demosaicing, sharpening, gamma correction, and color space conversion.

· Embedded camera controller for automatic exposure, white balance, black level compensation, and flicker detection.

· Fine image downscaler with 13 steps of 0.5 (1x to 7x) and 5 steps of 1.0 (7x to 12x), max CIF output.

· Output formats: ITU-R BT.656-4 YUV 4:2:2, RGB 565, RGB 444, or JPEG with embedded syncs.

· Programmable JPEG compression.

· 8-bit parallel video interface with separate syncs and 24 MHz clock.

· Two-wire control interface (CCI).

· Single 1.8 V power supply with 15 µW standby power.

· TFBGA 56, 6mm x 6mm AFOP lead-free package.

· Pin-compatible with STV0974 processor.
