DESCRIPTION

· The TPS2398 and TPS2399 are hot swap power managers optimized for nominal −48 V systems.

· They feature an improved circuit breaker response for rapid short circuit protection and tolerance to large transients during voltage switchover.

· Designed for supply voltage ranges up to −80 V, with a spike rating of −100 V.

· Enable live insertion of plug-in cards and modules in powered systems using an external N-channel FET and sense resistor.

· Provide load current slew rate and peak magnitude limiting, programmable via sense resistor value and a single external capacitor.
