DESCRIPTION

· The ULN2803A is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array. It consists of eight NPN Darlington pairs with high-voltage outputs and common-cathode clamp diodes for switching inductive loads. Each pair has a collector-current rating of 500 mA and can be connected in parallel for higher current capability. The device includes a 2.7-kΩ series base resistor for each pair, enabling direct operation with TTL or 5-V CMOS devices.
