DESCRIPTION

· The VT1697SB is a smart slave IC for high-density multiphase voltage regulators, compatible with Maxim’s seventh-generation masters.

· Supports up to six smart slave ICs and one master IC for compact synchronous buck converters.

· Monolithic integration and advanced packaging enable high switching frequencies with reduced losses.

· Features phase shedding and DCM modes for efficiency optimization across varying load currents.

· Designed for high per-phase current capability with low COUT, reducing the number of phases and footprint.

· FCQFN package with top-side thermal pads enhances heat dissipation, lowering PCB and component temperatures.



FEATURES

· High per-phase current capability with a footprint under 1600mm² for 150A voltage regulators.

· Precise temperature and per-phase current monitoring via SMBus through the master controller IC.

· Comprehensive protection: UVLO/OVLO, bootstrap voltage UVLO, VX short, overcurrent, and overtemperature.

· Supports switching frequencies from 300KHz to 1.3MHz.

· Compatible with coupled inductor designs.
