DESCRIPTION

· The AD5933 is a high precision impedance converter system integrating a frequency generator and a 12-bit, 1 MSPS ADC.

· It excites external complex impedances with known frequencies, samples response signals, and processes DFT for real and imaginary data.

· Calibration allows easy calculation of impedance magnitude and phase at each frequency, accessible via I2C interface.

FEATURES

· Programmable excitation voltage up to 100 kHz with 27-bit frequency resolution.

· Impedance measurement range from 1 kΩ to 10 MΩ, extendable to 100 Ω with additional circuitry.

· Includes internal temperature sensor, system clock, and phase measurement capability.

· Operates from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, suitable for temperatures from −40°C to +125°C.

· Packaged in a 16-lead SSOP, qualified for automotive applications.
