DESCRIPTION

· The APX803/D is a 3-pin microprocessor reset circuit designed for monitoring power supplies in µP and digital systems.

· It ensures circuit reliability and reduces cost by eliminating external components and adjustments in 5V, 3.3V, and 3.0V powered circuits.

· It asserts a reset signal during power-up and when VCC drops below a preset threshold, maintaining the reset for a fixed period after VCC rises above the threshold.

· The APX803D has a minimum reset period of 1ms, while other variants have at least 140ms.

· The reset comparator ignores fast transients on VCC, and outputs remain valid down to VCC = 1V.

· The APX803D features a 2.93V threshold voltage and an open-collector active-low RESET output.

· It is suitable for portable equipment due to its low supply current and is available in two 3-pin SOT23 package variants.
