DESCRIPTION

· The GS9021A implements error detection and handling (EDH) according to SMPTE RP-165.

· It interfaces with parallel inputs of GS9002, GS9022, or GS9032 serial digital encoders, primarily used on the transmit end of the SDI interface.

· Provides EDH insertion and extraction for various video standards including 4:2:2 and 4:4:4:4.

· Generates noise immune timing signals and implements TRS-ID correction/insertion and data blanking.

· Features a host interface configurable as an 8-bit parallel or I²C serial interface for microcontroller communication.
