DESCRIPTION

· The MAX3421E is a USB peripheral/host controller with an SPI interface, compliant with USB specification rev 2.0.

· It includes a built-in transceiver with ±15kV ESD protection and programmable USB connect/disconnect.

· Features an internal Serial Interface Engine (SIE) for handling USB protocol details like error checking and bus retries.

· Operates via an SPI interface up to 26MHz, compatible with any SPI master (microprocessor, ASIC, DSP, etc.).

· Includes internal level translators for system voltages between 1.4V and 3.6V.

· Provides eight general-purpose inputs and outputs, allowing SPI interface I/O pin reclamation.

· Operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, available in 32-pin TQFP and TQFN packages.
