DESCRIPTION

· The MAX9386/MAX9387/MAX9388 are high-speed, low-jitter ECL/PECL multiplexers with output buffers.

· Designed for clock-and-data distribution with low propagation delays (318ps) and output skews (3.9ps).

· MAX9386: 5:1 mux with single output buffer.

· MAX9387: 5:1 mux with dual output buffers for redundant systems.

· MAX9388: 4:1 mux with single output buffer, pin-compatible with MC100EP57.

· Operates with a supply range of 2.375V to 5.5V.

FEATURES

· Propagation delay: 318ps (typ).

· Toggle frequency: >2.7GHz.

· Random jitter: 0.3ps (RMS).

· Output-to-output skew: <14ps (max) at +25°C (MAX9387).

· Supply range: -2.375V to -5.5V for LVECL/ECL; +2.375V to +5.5V for LVPECL/PECL.

· Outputs low for open inputs.
