DESCRIPTION
· The MC145010 is a CMOS photoelectric smoke detector IC designed for use with an infrared photoelectric chamber.
· It detects smoke by sensing scattered light from particles and activates a pulsating alarm via on-chip push-pull drivers and an external piezoelectric transducer.
· The IC features a variable-gain photo amplifier for direct interface with IR detectors and includes a special monitor circuit for periodic sensitivity checks.
· It supports interconnection of up to 40 units for common signaling and can activate escape lights, auxiliary alarms, or auto-dialers.

· Operates in smoke detector systems compliant with UL217 and UL268 specifications.
· Voltage range: 6 to 12 V; Temperature range: -10 to 60°C.
· Average supply current: 12 µA; Includes power-on reset for standby mode.
· Equipped with ESD and latch-up protection on all pins.
· Suitable for battery-powered applications with a chip complexity of 2000 FETs, 12 NPNs, 16 resistors, and 10 capacitors.
