DESCRIPTION
· The MC145010 is a CMOS photoelectric smoke detector IC designed for use with an infrared photoelectric chamber.
· It detects smoke by sensing scattered light from particles and activates a pulsating alarm via on-chip push-pull drivers and an external piezoelectric transducer.
· The IC features a variable-gain photo amplifier for direct interface with IR detectors and includes a monitor circuit for periodic sensitivity checks.
· It supports interconnection of up to 40 units for common signaling and can activate escape lights or auxiliary alarms.

· Operates in compliance with UL217 and UL268 specifications.
· Wide operating voltage range from 6 to 12 V.
· Temperature range from -10 to 60 °C.
· Low average supply current of 12 µA, ideal for battery-powered applications.
