DESCRIPTION

· MATRIX Mercury is a family of highly integrated DC/DC boost converters designed for energy harvesting from low voltage sources like Thermoelectric Generators (TEGs).
· Features a patented transformer reuse topology functioning as a flyback converter, operable from input power as low as a few microwatts.
· Includes unique impedance matching for constant impedance load and high efficiency across all input voltages.
· Offers multiple input protection voltage options based on transformer ratio.
· Equipped with an 8-bit on-chip ADC for open-circuit voltage detection and input shutdown to ensure reliable operation.
· Provides regulated output voltages between 2V to 5V, suitable for various battery types.
· Available in a compact 10-lead, 3mm × 3mm DFN package, operating from -40°C to +85°C.

FEATURES

· Ultra-Low quiescent current of 700nA for rapid charging of the output capacitor.
· Operates with VIN as low as 9mV to VOUT up to 5V, and as low as 6mV to VOUT up to 3V.
· Capable of cold-start with VOC = 15mV.

· Features near-ideal impedance matching with input sources.
· Minimizes power leakage with active input monitoring and true shutdown capability.
