DESCRIPTION

· The MC145012 is a CMOS photoelectric smoke detector IC with I/O and temporal pattern horn driver, designed for use with an infrared photoelectric chamber to detect smoke particles or aerosols by sensing scattered light.

· It features on-chip push-pull drivers for a pulsating alarm via an external piezoelectric transducer and a variable-gain photo amplifier for direct interface to IR detectors.

· The IC supports interconnection of up to 40 units for common signaling using the I/O pin, and includes a current sink for noise immunity.

· It operates on a 9.0 V battery, with a supply voltage range of 6.0 V to 12 V, and includes low-supply detection circuitry and a monitor circuit for periodic checks.
