DESCRIPTION

· The MIC3808 and MIC3809 are complementary output push-pull PWM control ICs designed for high-speed, low-power applications.
· Ideal for telecom-level (36V to 75V) isolated step-down DC/DC conversion, requiring high output current, small size, and high efficiency.
· Features a dual-ended push-pull architecture for efficient transformer utilization, enabling smaller DC/DC solutions.
· Adjustable dead-time between outputs (60ns to 200ns) limits duty cycle to less than 50%, reducing input/output ripple and component stress.
· Built on a low-power, high-speed BiCMOS process with a 130 µA start-up current and 1mA run current for high efficiency at light loads.
· Operates up to 1MHz with an internal 4MHz error amplifier.
· MIC3808 has a 12.5V turn-on threshold; MIC3809 has a 4.3V threshold.
· Available in SOP-8 and MSOP-8 packages, operating from -40°C to +85°C.
