· The PCA2000 and PCA2001 are CMOS integrated circuits designed for battery-operated wrist watches, utilizing a 32 kHz quartz crystal and a bipolar 1 Hz stepping motor.
· They feature a quartz crystal oscillator and frequency divider optimized for minimal power consumption, achieving a timing accuracy of 1 ppm through digital frequency adjustment.
· An automatic motor pulse adaptation function ensures minimal overall power consumption by supplying only the necessary drive current for correct motor steps.
· The PCA2000 includes a battery End Of Life (EOL) warning function, while the PCA2001 lacks this feature.
