DESCRIPTION

· The SCG2500 is a mixed-signal phase lock loop generating CMOS outputs from a low jitter voltage controlled crystal oscillator.

· It locks to one of two selectable 8 kHz input reference frequencies using an input select pin.

· Features include an alarm output for Loss of Reference (LOR) or Loss of Lock (LOL).

· In case of losing one reference, it disables the phase detector and signals an alarm without switching references automatically.

· If both references are lost, it enters a Free Run state ensuring a 20 ppm accurate output.

· Free Run mode can also be manually activated via the Force Free Run pin.

· All outputs, except the Oscillator Output, can be tri-stated for external testing by applying a high signal to the Reset/Tri-State pin.

· The package dimensions are 0.780” x 0.830” x 0.35” on a six-layer FR4 board with surface mount pins, assembled using high-temperature solder.
