DESCRIPTION

· The Si3453 is a quad high-voltage port controller designed for PoE and PoE+ PSE applications, supporting up to four PSE power interfaces per controller.

FEATURES

· Programmable current limits for PoE (15.4 W), PoE+ (30 W), and proprietary systems (up to 40 W) per port.

· I2C interface for easy, low-cost management of 4 to 48 ports without an external MCU.

· Integrated high-voltage components reduce design complexity, power dissipation, external BOM, and PCB footprint.

· Internal low-RON power FETs with current-sense circuitry and integrated transient voltage surge suppressors.

· Supports IEEE 802.3af (PoE) and IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) with programmable current limits up to 850 mA.

· Comprehensive fault-protection including UVLO, current limit, short-circuit protection, and thermal overload protection.

· Operates in industrial temperature range from -40 to 85 °C.

· Compact 6×6 mm², 40-pin QFN RoHS-compliant package.

APPLICATIONS

· Power over Ethernet endpoint switches and midspans compliant with IEEE Std 802.3af and 802.3at.

· Supports high-power PDs such as Pan/Tilt/Zoom security cameras, 802.11n WAPs, and multi-band, multi-radio WAPs.

· Suitable for security and RFID systems, industrial automation, networked audio, IP phone systems, and metropolitan area networked devices.

· Used in WiMAX ASN/BTS and CPE/ODU systems.
