DESCRIPTION

· The Si85xx series are unidirectional AC current sensors with full-scale ranges of 5, 10, and 20 A.

· They offer size, performance, and cost advantages over traditional current-sensing technologies like current transformers and Hall effect devices.

· These sensors feature extremely low loss with less than 1.3 mΩ series resistance and less than 2 nH series inductance at 25°C.

· Current-sensing terminals are isolated from other package pins, providing up to 5 kV RMS isolation.

FEATURES

· Single-chip AC current sensor with low loss characteristics.

· Leading-edge noise suppression eliminates the need for leading-edge blanking.

· "Ping-Pong" output version allows one Si85xx to replace two current transformers in full-bridge designs.

· Available in 5, 10, and 20 A full-scale versions with ±5% initial accuracy.

· Operates within an input frequency range of 50 kHz to 1 MHz.
