Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The TC74VHCT74AF/AFT is a high-speed CMOS dual D-type flip-flop with preset and clear, fabricated using silicon gate C2MOS technology.

· It combines the high-speed operation of Bipolar Schottky TTL with the low power dissipation of CMOS.

· The device transfers the signal level from the D input to the Q output during the positive transition of the CK pulse.

· CLR and PR inputs are independent of CK and are activated by setting the appropriate input low.

· It is compatible with TTL output voltages and can be used as a level converter for interfacing 3.3V to 5V systems.

· Input protection and output circuit ensure that 0 to 5.5V can be applied to input and output pins regardless of the supply voltage.



FEATURES

· High speed: fmax = 160 MHz (typ.) at VCC = 5V.

· Low power dissipation: ICC = 2 μA (max) at Ta = 25°C.

· TTL input compatibility: VIL = 0.8V (max), VIH = 2.0V (min).

· Power-down protection on all inputs and outputs.

· Balanced propagation delays: tpLH ≈ tpHL.

· Pin and function compatible with the 74 series (74AC/HC/F/ALS/LS etc.).

· Level conversion between 3.3V and 5V systems.

· Signal synchronization and storage in digital circuits.
