Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The TL431 and TL432 are three-terminal adjustable shunt regulators with thermal stability across automotive, commercial, and military temperature ranges.
· Output voltage is adjustable from Vref (~2.5V) to 36V using two external resistors.
· They feature a typical output impedance of 0.2Ω and sharp turn-on characteristics, making them suitable replacements for Zener diodes.
· Available in three grades with initial tolerances of 0.5% (B grade), 1% (A grade), and 2% (Standard grade) at 25°C.
· TL43xxC operates from 0°C to 70°C, TL43xxI from –40°C to 85°C, and TL43xxQ from –40°C to 125°C.

· Adjustable output voltage: Vref to 36V.
· Operating temperature range: –40°C to 125°C.
· Typical temperature drift: 6mV (C temp), 14mV (I temp, Q temp).
· Low output noise and 0.2Ω typical output impedance.
· Sink-current capability: 1mA to 100mA.
