DESCRIPTION



· The TMC2660C is a high-performance driver for two-phase stepper motors, offering advanced features such as high-resolution microstepping, sensorless load measurement, and load-adaptive power optimization.

· It integrates power MOSFETs capable of handling up to 2.2A RMS continuously or 2.8A RMS boost current per coil, ensuring robust and reliable operation.

· The device supports both SPI and STEP/DIR interfaces, simplifying communication and integration into various systems.

· Its compact 10x10mm QFP-44 package and low external component count make it ideal for miniaturized, cost-effective designs.

· The -C variant enhances motor silence and includes low-side short protection, further improving reliability.



FEATURES



· Drive capability up to 4A motor current and voltage up to 30V DC, suitable for a wide range of applications.

· Highest resolution of up to 256 microsteps per full step, ensuring smooth and precise motor control.

· Low power dissipation due to very low RDSON and synchronous rectification, enhancing energy efficiency.

· EMI-optimized programmable slope and integrated protection features such as short to GND, overtemperature, undervoltage, overcurrent, and short to VS (TMC2660C only).

· Advanced functionalities like StallGuard2™ for sensorless motor load detection, CoolStep™ for load-dependent current control, and SpreadCycle™ for high-precision chopper operation.

· Improved silent motor operation and stand-alone option available in the TMC2660C variant.
