DESCRIPTION

· The 74HC688 is an 8-bit magnitude comparator designed to compare two 8-bit binary or BCD words.

· It features input clamp diodes, allowing the use of current limiting resistors for interfacing with voltages exceeding VCC.

FEATURES

· Compares two 8-bit words with a wide supply voltage range from 2.0 V to 6.0 V.

· CMOS input levels ensure low power dissipation and high noise immunity.

· Latch-up performance exceeds 100 mA per JESD 78 Class II Level B.

· Complies with JEDEC standards: JESD8C (2.7 V to 3.6 V) and JESD7A (2.0 V to 6.0 V).

· ESD protection: HBM exceeds 2000 V (ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 class 2), CDM exceeds 1000 V (ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-002 class C3).

· Operates reliably from -40 °C to +125 °C.
