DESCRIPTION

· The 74HC85; 74HCT85 is a 4-bit magnitude comparator expandable to any length.

· It compares two 4-bit binary, BCD, or monotonic codes, outputting three magnitude results (Q A>B, QA=B, Q A

· Inputs are weighted (A0-A3, B0-B3), with A3 and B3 as the most significant bits.

· For expansion, connect outputs to inputs of the next comparator.

· Inputs include clamp diodes for interfacing with voltages above VCC.

· Wide supply voltage range: 2.0 to 6.0 V.

· CMOS low power dissipation and high noise immunity.

· Latch-up performance exceeds 100 mA per JESD 78 Class II Level B.
