DESCRIPTION

· The 74HCT4538 is a dual retriggerable-resettable monostable multivibrator.

· It features two trigger/retrigger inputs, a direct reset input, and two complementary outputs.

· External timing components CEXT and REXT determine the output pulse duration and accuracy.

· The output pulse width (TW) is calculated as 0.7 × REXT × CEXT.

· It supports triggering by either positive or negative edges of the input pulse.

· Schmitt-trigger action enhances tolerance to slower rise and fall times.
