DESCRIPTION

· The Broadcom ACPL-C72B, ACPL-C72A, and ACPL-C720 are isolation amplifiers for current sensing in power converters, motor drives, and renewable energy systems.

· They sense voltage drop across a shunt resistor and provide a differential output voltage proportional to the current.

· Optimized for ±50-mV input range, they reduce power loss on shunt resistors.

· ACPL-C72A (±1% gain) and ACPL-C720 (±3% gain) are for general use; ACPL-C72B (±0.5% gain) is for high precision.

· Operates on 5V supply with 65-dB SNR, 25 kV/μs common-mode transient immunity, and Σ-Δ ADC for noise rejection.
