DESCRIPTION
· The Allegro ACS37800 is a power monitoring IC designed for AC and DC systems, featuring galvanically isolated current sensing technology.
· It eliminates the need for multiple power supplies by allowing the sensor to be powered from the same supply as the system MCU.
· The device includes a copper conduction path for magnetic field generation proportional to applied current, with differential sensing to reject common mode field errors.
· It offers reinforced isolation ratings in a compact PCB footprint, avoiding the use of expensive Rogowski coils, oversized current transformers, or shunt resistors.
· The IC provides key power measurement parameters accessible via SPI or I2C interfaces and includes configurable I/O pins for various monitoring functions.
· It is available in a lead-free SOIC16 wide-body package and comes fully calibrated from the factory, with options for customer calibration to enhance accuracy.

· Measures active, reactive, and apparent power, along with power factor, with separate RMS and instantaneous measurements for voltage and current.

· Compatible with floating and non-floating GND, with dedicated pins for voltage or current zero crossing and fast overcurrent fault detection.
· User-programmable undervoltage and overvoltage RMS thresholds, with a current sensing range up to 90 A and a 1 kHz bandwidth.
· Supports I2C or SPI digital interface protocols, enhancing flexibility in system integration.
