DESCRIPTION

· The Broadcom® AFBR-S50MV85I is a multi-pixel optical distance and motion measurement sensor module based on the optical Time-of-Flight principle.

· It is designed for applications requiring high speed and accuracy at medium distances, with small size and low power consumption.

· The module features ambient light suppression, enabling use in outdoor environments, even in sunlight.

· It accurately measures distances against various surfaces, including white, black, colored, metallic, and retroreflective surfaces.

· The module includes an integrated infrared laser light source and an internal clock source, requiring a single 5.0V power supply.

· Data is transferred via a digital Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) using standard 3.3V CMOS levels.

· System health monitoring is facilitated by a reference pixel and integrated voltage and temperature sensors.

· Frame rates of up to 3 kHz are supported, with a dual-frequency (2f) mode enabling an unambiguous range of up to 100m at frame rates up to 100 Hz.
