DESCRIPTION

· The Broadcom APDS-9200 is a compact sensor designed for ultra-violet (UV-A and UV-B) and ambient light sensing, optimized for angular response.

· It converts UV light into digital data, displaying as UV index (1… >11), with higher values indicating greater UV exposure.

· The device measures UV wavelengths classified into UV-A (320 nm – 400 nm) and UV-B (290 nm – 320 nm).

· Ambient light sensing is aimed at display management to extend battery life and ensure optimal viewing in various lighting conditions.

· It supports I2C interface and includes a programmable interrupt function to conserve microcontroller resources.
