DESCRIPTION

· The HCPL-8100 and HCPL-0810 are low-cost high current line drivers with a 5 V single supply, delivering up to 1 APP current.

· They feature internal protection against over-temperature conditions through thermal shutdown and detect under-voltage or over-load conditions via an internal circuit.

· The transmit enable (Tx-en) input allows disabling the line driver output stage to reduce power dissipation when not in use.

· These devices operate over an extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C and are available in DIP-8 (HCPL-8100) and SO-8 (HCPL-0810) packages.
