Overview

DESCRIPTION

· The LM75B is a temperature-to-digital converter utilizing an on-chip band gap temperature sensor and Sigma-Delta A-to-D conversion technique.

· It includes an overtemperature detection output and multiple data registers for configuration, temperature reading, and set-point limits.

· The device communicates via a 2-wire serial I2C-bus interface and supports up to eight devices on the same bus using selectable logic address pins.

· It features an open-drain output (OS) that activates when temperature exceeds programmed limits, with configurable operation modes and polarity.

· The temperature register stores 11-bit two’s complement data with a resolution of 0.125°C, ensuring precise thermal measurements.

· The LM75B operates in normal or shutdown mode, with default settings suitable for standalone thermostat applications.
