DESCRIPTION

· The LMK03328 is an ultra-low-noise clock generator with two fractional-N frequency synthesizers, integrated VCOs, and flexible clock distribution.

· It features pin-selectable configuration states stored in on-chip EEPROM, reducing BOM cost and board area.

· The device improves reliability by replacing multiple oscillators and clock distribution devices, and its ultra-low jitter reduces BER in high-speed serial links.

FEATURES

· Ultra-low noise with 100fs RMS typical jitter for F OUT > 100MHz and PSNR of –80dBc.

· Up to 8 configurable outputs supporting AC-LVPECL, AC-LVDS, AC-CML, HCSL, or LVCMOS.

· Dual inputs with automatic or manual selection: crystal input (10MHz to 52MHz) and external input (1MHz to 300MHz).

· Frequency margining options: fine (±50ppm) and glitchless coarse margining.

· Industrial temperature range (–40°C to 85°C) and 7mm × 7mm 48-WQFN package.
